Rattay Tournament Walkthrough
This activity is held once every 7 days (in game), You will get a notification 24 hours before it is available via in game quest pop ups. To start you must talk to the Herald that is near the combat arena in the Upper Castle of Rattay. To enter you must pay 60 groschen. If you completed the quest Next to Godliness for Sir Hans Capon he will mention that Sir Hanush is bothering him about being a layabout, thus Sir Hans came up with a lie about training a squire and wants to cover the role of his would be squire in return for getting Sir Hanush off his back he will give you the groschen to enter the tournament and even pay you depending on how well you do. Each combatant will be equipped with the exact same gear and weapons. Perks such as Ting Opener, Serrated Edge, Blacksmith's Son will not be of benefit. Perks like Burgher, Local Hero / Infamous should be of benefit. After each bout of the one on one duel you will be restored to full health and healed of any and all injures letting you start each duel fresh and ready to go with any potions and perks that should be available to you. Just like when you train with Captain Bernard you will not die or kill your opponents.
Your choice of weapons are Long Sword, War Hammer & Shield, Ax & Shield, Short sword & Shield, Hunting sword & Shield. The first duel of each match will start with the weapon of your choice, the second duel will be the weapon of choice of the NPC you are fighting, if you get a third duel because you lost a duel Sir Hanush will choose and weapon at random. The third and final match will always be against Peter AKA Black Peter the previous Tournament Champion and a very tough opponent who can use master strikes on top of regular combos.
Speaking with Sir Hanush after you have won the Tournament will award you with a piece of special piece of armour from the Lords of Lepia set. You can also place bets with Miller Peshek on who will win the Tournament.
Tips & Tricks
- Know at lest one combo for each and every weapon
- If you want the benefit potions use them before you talk to the Herald as you will not be able to use the menu during the Tournament
