Go and Speak with the villager in Rovna which is in the quest marker. You will learn from a villager that Father Simon is in a grief as the love of his life died during her childbirth. After that, follow the new marker and find a cross. Check it and then go along the river. From there, you will know that father Simon was abducted by two Tramps. You can handle them by fighting them out, bribe or persuade them to just leave. It is advised to choose the skill you are most comfortable with. Then approach to speak with Father Simon. If the villager is sleeping, it may be that Simon got killed on his way to Rovna. I managed to finish the quest by following Simon from the woods to Rovna. He actually walks through a bandit camp in Skallitz and dies there, making the quest unfinishable. I fixed it by killed all the bandits and escorting Simon all the way to Rovna. The villager was still sleeping, but the Talk option now appears and I could finish the quest.
